We’re delighted to share the highlights of our participation in the Festival Out of the Books, which took place on October 3 and 4, 2024 in Wavre and brought together 2,500 education professionals (teachers, speech therapists, neuropsychologists, etc.), all driven by the desire to shake up the lines of education.
Created by Alexia Martin and Sophie Vanden Plas, two friends with a passion for education, the Festival Out of the Books is a must-attend event to discover the latest pedagogical innovations, tested and approved by teachers, so that as many pupils as possible can benefit from them!
For the occasion, the Babaoo team was represented by Alexandra Volckaert, Neuropsychologist in charge of cognitive research, Anne-Laure David, former teacher, and Luc Verdier, Creative Director. Our team was able to exchange ideas with many passionate and enthusiastic professionals, and had the pleasure of presenting a conference on the value of educational video games in strengthening children Executive Functions.
Alexandra Volckaert was interviewed by Sophie Vanden Plas in her Podcast “Éducation : mode d’emploi”, the podcast to discover concrete tools and get inspired by exceptional speakers.
The warm welcome from the Belgian audience, already highly aware of the importance of developing children’s Executive Functions and talking to them about the brain, was particularly encouraging. Convinced by Babaoo’s approach, nearly 200 participants left with the pedagogical kit comprising the first 12 turnkey sessions to be deployed in the classroom, with the support of the app.
We are also delighted to announce that Babaoo will soon be available in a package specially dedicated to teachers, offering a first year of free use with the possibility of creating up to 30 player profiles.
The Festival was also the occasion for some wonderful discoveries and encounters. Many thanks to the organizers of the Out of the Books Festival and to all the participants for their warm welcome!
